Nel secondo anno di pandemia, in cui ci siamo tutti di nuovo dovuti abituare a convivere con il disastro, ci sembra questo il momento opportuno per cercare di capire e ridefinire l\u2019impatto sulle societ\u00e0 globali. Soprattutto \u00e8 necessario considerare che cosa veramente significa <\/span><\/span>ricostruire<\/b><\/span><\/span> dopo un disastro naturale, biologico o creato dall\u2019uomo. Il recupero degli edifici e delle infrastrutture \u00e8 sufficiente se non viene ricucito il tessuto sociale?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Il <\/span><\/span>1\u00ba Settembre 2021<\/b><\/span><\/span>, la conferenza <\/span><\/span>Invisible Reconstruction<\/b><\/i><\/span><\/span> verr\u00e0 tenuta online e in tempo reale da <\/span><\/span>Kyoto<\/b><\/span><\/span>. \u00c8 un’iniziativa che promuove lo scambio di conoscenze ed esperienze a livello mondiale con lo scopo di cambiare il modo di pensare e di prepararsi meglio a prevenire e gestire il disastro. <\/span><\/span>Invisible Reconstruction<\/i><\/span><\/span> vuole rafforzare e\u00a0riparare i fili\u00a0intangibili che tengono insieme una societ\u00e0.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

La conferenza \u00e8 stata organizzata grazie al supporto di <\/span><\/span>UCL Global Engagement<\/b><\/span><\/span> ed \u00e8 una collaborazione tra <\/span><\/span>UCL<\/b><\/span><\/span>,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Ritsumeikan<\/b><\/span><\/span>, <\/span><\/span>Universit\u00e0 dell\u2019Aquila<\/b><\/span><\/span> e <\/span><\/span>Universit\u00e0 di Sassari<\/b><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Il convegno esaminer\u00e0 come comunicare e capire il rischio, come viverlo, e come ridurre l\u2019impatto su coloro che sono pi\u00f9\u00a0vulnerabili. <\/span><\/span>Come l\u2019arte pu\u00f2 aiutare a ricostruire<\/b><\/span><\/span> e\u00a0riconnettere le comunit\u00e0 e <\/span><\/span>come i beni culturali possono diventare il\u00a0motore per la rinascita economica<\/b><\/span><\/span>. Nel mezzo del disastro della pandemia globale, i relatori spiegheranno le strategie per gestire musei e biblioteche anche quando nessuno pu\u00f2 visitarli.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Scuole, universit\u00e0 e musei sono una delle chiavi di coesione territoriale<\/b><\/span><\/span> e promuovono resilienza nelle societ\u00e0. Eppure la loro importanza passa in secondo piano durante la risposta all\u2019emergenza. Questa conferenza si occuper\u00e0 di <\/span><\/span>come la pandemia dovuta al COVID-19 ha rivelato fragilit\u00e0 in tutti i diversi stadi del processo educativo<\/b><\/span><\/span>, sottolineando la vulnerabilit\u00e0 degli attori degli processi educativi, nonch\u00e9 l\u2019importanza di mantenere il contatto fisico per preservare il benessere psicologico.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\nIn another year when we have all been living with disasters of one sort or another, perhaps it is a good time to reassess how to deal with their societal\u00a0impact. What does it really mean to reconstruct after a natural, biological or man-made disaster? Is the repair and reinstatement of buildings and\u00a0infrastructure sufficient without the mending of social fabric?<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n


\nOn 1st September 2021, the Invisible Reconstruction Conference is being held online and live from Kyoto. Invisible Reconstruction is an initiative that seeks\u00a0the exchange of global knowledge and experiences to change current thinking on disaster preparedness and promote the reinforcement and repair of the\u00a0intangible threads that create societies.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n


\nThe conference will examine communicating, understanding and living with risk, and how to reduce the disproportionate impact of disaster on the vulnerable.\u00a0It will look at how art can help rebuild and reconnect communities and how cultural heritage can be a motor for economic recovery. In the global disaster of\u00a0the pandemic, contributors will talk about how to run museums and libraries when no one can visit.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n


\nSchools, universities and museums are key to community cohesion and societal resilience, yet their importance is often forgotten in disaster response. The\u00a0conference will look at how the COVID-19 pandemic has exposed fragilities at the different stages of the educational process, and highlighted the\u00a0vulnerability \u00a0of the educators themselves as well as \u00a0the importance of maintaining physical contact to preserve psychological well being.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The conference has been organised with the help of a UCL Global Engagement Grant and is a collaboration between University College London, DMuch –\u00a0The Institute of Disaster Mitigation for Urban Cultural Heritage at Ritsumeikan University, Kyoto, and the Universities of L\u2019Aquila and Sassari in Italy.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
