\u200a\u200aLaunch of CONCRETO – A Groundbreaking Didactical Project for Green Rehabilitation of European Concrete Architecture under the Erasmus+ Programme<\/em>\u200aFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE<\/strong> January 18th 2024<\/em> \u2014 Today marks the official commencement of CONCRETO, a visionary international didactical project committed to Empowering the Green Rehabilitation of European Concrete Architecture.<\/strong> Developed under the esteemed Erasmus+ Programme<\/strong>, CONCRETO, under the lead of the Scientific director Irene Matteini<\/strong>, unites 13 partners from 4 European countries<\/strong> and Turkey<\/strong> in a collaborative effort to champion sustainable practices for the regeneration of concrete structures. Inspired by the Renaissance concept of the \u00abArtist’s Shop\u00bb or \u00abLa Bottega<\/em>\u00ab, the CONCRETO ALLIANCE<\/strong> embarks on a 36-month journey to revolutionize education and enterprise collaboration. This innovative apprenticeship program, designed to be learner-centred, will enable students and professionals to acquire and apply skills through hands-on experiences on real-life examples, evolving from students to apprentices. Over the next three years<\/strong>, CONCRETO will bring together 84 students and more than 30 teachers from three European countries<\/strong>. The programme’s activities will also extend to a UNESCO site in Ivrea,<\/strong> Italy, where students will engage in active study, research, and hands-on exercises on selected architecture as part of their final project \u2013 the CONCRETO MASTERPIECE<\/strong>. This project aims to contribute significantly to the green sustainability of the UNESCO Site. The CONCRETO initiative seeks to transmit and disseminate its innovative approach at a European and international level, fostering cross-sectoral knowledge flow and promoting best practices. It envisions a new skill set that equips professionals to become the experts of tomorrow, addressing the pressing need to rethink the management and transformation of existing architecture. CONCRETO was conceived and implemented by a large-scale European ALLIANCE, promoting transnational cooperation between academia, vocational training, and professionals<\/strong> in the field. Led by the Pier Luigi Nervi Foundation<\/strong>, the international consortium includes 2 Modern Heritage Preservation Organizations: <\/strong>Pier Luigi Nervi Project (PLN), DOCOMOMO International, 3 Higher Education Institutions: <\/strong>Middle East Technical University (ODT\u00dc \u2013 METU), Politecnico di Milano (POLIMI), Universidad Polit\u00e9cnica de Madrid (UPM) 5 Trade Associations: <\/strong>Association of Turkish Consulting Engineers and Architects (ATCEA),Consiglio Nazionale Architetti, Paesaggisti e Conservatori  Consejo Superior de los Colegios de Arquitectos de Espa\u00f1a (CSCAE), Colegio de Ingenieros de Caminos, Canales y Puertos (CICCP), Fondazione Consiglio Nazionale Ingegneri (FCNI) <\/strong>3 Vocational Training Organizations<\/strong>: <\/strong>Fundaci\u00f3n Laboral de la Construcci\u00f3n (FLC), Istituto per l\u2019Istruzione Professionale dei Lavoratori Edili della Provincia di Bologna (IIPLE), Turkiye Cumhuriyeti Mesleki Yeterlilik Kurumu Baskanligi (MYK). Aligned with the New European Bauhaus initiative<\/strong>, CONCRETO aims to address the challenges identified by the Renovation Wave, emphasizing the green regeneration of the existing European Building Stock<\/strong>. The learning activities within CONCRETO begin with distance learning and gradually transitions to practical experiences, culminating in a full-immersion hands-on experience transforming students into apprentices with the CONCRETO MASTERPIECE at the UNESCO site of Ivrea. The city encapsules a collection of significant modern architectural works designed and built during the 1930s and the 1960s, representing a unique example in Europe of a modern company town.  All materials produced during the partnership will be accessible online through an open-source platform. The CONCRETO Guidelines,<\/strong> the core of sustainability, and a Massive Open Online Course<\/strong> (MOOC) will be codified and shared on the CONCRETO ACADEMY platform<\/strong>, offering a permanent opportunity for knowledge growth and exchange. CONCRETO believes that establishing unified and sustainable best practices in modern architectural preservation strengthens our common European identity. 18 Gennaio 2024 – Oggi con il Kick-off meeting \u00e8 l’inizio ufficiale di CONCRETO, un progetto didattico internazionale visionario impegnato a Potenziare la Riabilitazione Sostenibile dell’Architettura in Cemento Europea.<\/strong>

Sviluppato nell’ambito dell’acclamato programma Erasmus+<\/strong>, CONCRETO, sotto la guida del Direttore Scientifico Irene Matteini<\/strong>, unisce 13 partner provenienti da 4 paesi europei e dalla Turchia <\/strong>in uno sforzo collaborativo per promuovere pratiche sostenibili per la rigenerazione delle strutture in cemento. 
Ispirata al concetto rinascimentale della \u00abBottega dell’Artista\u00bb o \u00abLa Bottega\u00bb, l’ALLEANZA CONCRETO<\/strong> intraprende un viaggio di 36 mesi per rivoluzionare la formazione e la collaborazione tra imprese<\/strong>. Questo innovativo programma di apprendistato, progettato per essere centrato sullo studente, consentir\u00e0 a studenti e professionisti di acquisire e applicare competenze attraverso esperienze pratiche su esempi di vita reale, evolvendo da studenti ad apprendisti.

Nel corso dei prossimi tre anni, CONCRETO riunir\u00e0 84 studenti e oltre 30 insegnanti provenienti da tre paesi europei<\/strong>. Le attivit\u00e0 del programma si estenderanno anche a un sito UNESCO a Ivrea, in Italia,<\/strong> dove gli studenti parteciperanno a ricerche ed esercitazioni pratiche su architetture selezionate come parte del loro progetto finale: il CAPOLAVORO CONCRETO<\/strong>. Questo progetto mira a contribuire in modo significativo alla sostenibilit\u00e0 del sito UNESCO.

L’iniziativa CONCRETO mira a trasmettere e diffondere il suo approccio innovativo a livello europeo e internazionale, promuovendo il flusso di conoscenze intersettoriale e la promozione delle migliori pratiche. Immagina un nuovo set di competenze che prepari i professionisti a diventare gli esperti di domani, affrontando l’urgente necessit\u00e0 di ripensare la gestione e la trasformazione dell’architettura esistente.

CONCRETO \u00e8 stato concepito e implementato da una grande ALLEANZA europea, promuovendo la cooperazione transnazionale tra accademie, formazione professionale e professionisti <\/strong>del settore. In linea con l’iniziativa del New European Bauhaus<\/strong>, CONCRETO mira a affrontare le sfide individuate dalla Renovation Wave, sottolineando la rigenerazione sostenibile del patrimonio edilizio europeo esistente.<\/strong> Le attivit\u00e0 di apprendimento all’interno di CONCRETO iniziano con la formazione a distanza e si trasformano gradualmente in esperienze pratiche, culminando in un’esperienza pratica a immersione totale che trasforma gli studenti in apprendisti con il CAPOLAVORO CONCRETO presso il sito UNESCO di Ivrea. La citt\u00e0 racchiude una collezione di significative opere architettoniche moderne progettate e costruite tra gli anni ’30 e ’60, rappresentando un esempio unico in Europa di citt\u00e0 industriale moderna.

Tutti i materiali prodotti durante il progetto saranno accessibili online tramite una piattaforma open-source. Le Linee Guida CONCRETO<\/strong>, il nucleo della sostenibilit\u00e0 e un Corso Online Aperto a Tutti (MOOC)<\/strong> saranno codificati e condivisi sulla piattaforma CONCRETO ACADEMY,<\/strong> offrendo un’opportunit\u00e0 permanente per la crescita e lo scambio di conoscenze.

CONCRETO crede che stabilire pratiche migliori unificate e sostenibili nella conservazione d moderna rafforzi la nostra comune identit\u00e0 europea.
