\ud83c\uddec\ud83c\udde7 \u00abWith great enthusiasm, I\u2019m about to embark on a new musical journey that is fascinating and demanding at the same time:Rossini\u2019s Otello<\/em><\/strong><\/a>(17, 19, 26, 31 May \/ 8, 15 June) and Verdi\u2019s<\/strong> Otello<\/strong><\/em><\/a> (22, 30 June \/ 4, 7, 10, 12 July) at the Oper Frankfurt<\/strong>.
I am grateful to this theatre for honouring me once again with an invitation to conduct as part of its season and, what\u2019s more, in such a remarkable way, with two works of the same name, both nineteenth century masterpieces, yet musically, technically and theatrically very different.
It will be enthralling to take on the challenge of two such disparate scores, with such diverse musical languages and approaches to vocality, and two very different librettos, partly because they originated from different literary sources (Othello, ou le More de Venise <\/em>by Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Ducis for Rossini, and Shakespeare\u2019s tragedy of the same name for Verdi). Basically, two operas which recount the same immortal, tragic events, but do so with different tempos, words, music, styles, theatrical and musical devices, methods, perspectives, even characters.
It follows that the challenge for me will be interesting too, since I\u2019ll be conducting and reinterpreting these marvellous, kaleidoscopic works seamlessly, with the same orchestra, the same choir and for the same audience.
The climb towards these two towering pinnacles has started, I\u2019ll be expecting you in Frankfurt.\u00bb<\/td><\/tr>

\ud83c\uddee\ud83c\uddf9\u00ab\u00c8 con grande entusiasmo che mi accingo ad affrontare un nuovo viaggio musicale tanto affascinante quanto arduo: Otello <\/strong><\/em>di Rossini<\/strong> (17, 19, 26, 31 maggio \/ 8, 15 giugno) e Otello <\/strong><\/em>di Verdi<\/strong> alla Oper Frankfurt<\/strong> (22, 30 giugno \/ 4, 7, 10, 12 luglio).
Sono riconoscente verso questo Teatro che ancora una volta mi onora invitandomi a dirigere in stagione e per di pi\u00f9 lo fa in modo sorprendentemente inusuale con due titoli omonimi, entrambi capolavori dell’Ottocento seppur tanto diversi tra loro musicalmente, tecnicamente e drammaturgicamente.
Sar\u00e0 avvincente sfidare due partiture cos\u00ec eterogenee con due linguaggi musicali e altrettanti approcci alla vocalit\u00e0 cos\u00ec divergenti, due libretti diversissimi, anche perch\u00e9 non germinati dalle stesse fonti letterarie (Othello, ou le More de Venise <\/em>di Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Ducis per Rossini e la tragedia omonima di Shakespeare per Verdi); in pratica due opere che raccontano la stessa immortale e tragica vicenda ma che lo fanno con tempi, parole, musica, stili, strumenti teatrali e musicali, strade, prospettive, finanche personaggi, differenti.
Per sillogismo sar\u00e0 anche interessante sfidare me stesso dal momento che, senza soluzione di continuit\u00e0, mi trover\u00f2 a dirigere e reinterpretare queste meravigliose e caleidoscopiche diversit\u00e0 con la stessa orchestra, lo stesso coro e per lo stesso pubblico.
La scalata a queste due vette altissime \u00e8 iniziata, vi aspetto a Francoforte\u00bb.<\/td><\/tr>
