\ud83c\uddec\ud83c\udde7 Luciano Ganci<\/strong> returns to his home stage, that of the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma<\/strong>, to perform Cavaradossi in Tosca<\/em><\/strong>, the opera that this year celebrates its 125th anniversary since its debut at the same theatre. As always, the Teatro dell’Opera’s programming is deeply rooted in tradition and history. For this reason, Tosca<\/em> is being presented in its \u201chistoric\u201d version, directed by Alessandro Talevi<\/strong>, which faithfully recreates the original staging from the world premiere on 14th January 1900. The musical direction is entrusted to Maestro Daniel Oren<\/strong>.

For Luciano Ganci, performing as Cavaradossi, one of his signature roles, is always an emotional experience, especially in the Italian capital. \u201cTosca is a vivid painting of a day in Rome, a work that captures the colours, the light and the shadows of Rome, encapsulating them in the shortest of time frames. With this magnificent opera, a picture postcard of a magical city despatched to theatres all over the world, Puccini has managed to depict the lustrous gold of a Baroque noon in the first act, the tenebrous red of tyranny personified by Scarpia in the second, culminating in the tragic dawn, in which sounds and colours embark in hope on a new day, but die away inexorably in the cold grey of the dramatic epilogue. Interpreting the role of Cavaradossi, a fiery artist: idealistic, loyal and, above all, a true Roman, is always a source of joy for me, even more so when called upon to do so by the opera house of my native city! \u201d<\/em>

The shows on 2nd and 5th March are nearly sold out: this year\u2019s Tosca<\/em>, performed in this theatre with an exceptional cast rotating in the roles, is a true celebration that builds on and amplifies the recent centenary commemorations of Puccini’s death.
Luciano Ganci will also return for performances on 9th, 11th and 13th May.<\/td><\/tr>

Come sempre, nel cartellone dell’Opera di Roma la valorizzazione della tradizione e della storia \u00e8 fondamentale: per questo \u00e8 stato scelto di riproporre Tosca<\/em> nella versione \u201cdella memoria\u201d, curata dal regista Alessandro Talevi,<\/strong> che ricostruisce l\u2019allestimento originale della prima assoluta del 14 gennaio 1900. La direzione musicale \u00e8 affidata al Maestro Daniel Oren<\/strong>.

Per Luciano Ganci, vestire i panni di Cavaradossi, uno dei suoi ruoli distintivi, \u00e8 sempre emozionante, soprattutto nella capitale. \u00abTosca \u00e8 un dipinto vivido di una giornata romana, un’opera che cattura i colori, le luci e le ombre di Roma, racchiudendoli in un brevissimo arco di tempo. Con questa meravigliosa opera, una cartolina di una citt\u00e0 magica spedita ai teatri di tutto il mondo, Puccini riesce a rappresentare il vivido oro del mezzogiorno barocco nel primo atto, il rosso cupo della tirannia incarnata da Scarpia nel secondo, per poi giungere a una tragica alba, dove suoni e colori partono dalla speranza di un nuovo giorno, ma inesorabilmente si spengono nel freddo grigio del drammatico epilogo. <\/em>Tornare a interpretare Cavaradossi, artista passionale, idealista, leale e, soprattutto, profondamente romano, \u00e8 per me sempre motivo di gioia, ancor pi\u00f9 quando a chiedermelo \u00e8 il teatro della mia citt\u00e0!\u00bb<\/em>

Le recite del 2 e 5 marzo sono praticamente sold out: questa Tosca<\/em>, quest\u2019anno, in questo teatro e con i grandi interpreti che si stanno alternando, (Luciano Ganci torner\u00e0 anche per le recite del 9, 11 e 13 maggio) \u00e8 una vera e propria celebrazione che segue e amplifica quelle appena terminate per il centenario della morte di Puccini.<\/td><\/tr>
