It is another step forward in the multi-centric enhancement process of local heritage, aimed at shaping a cultural identity and fostering tourism.
With support from the Marche Regional Government, the National Committee to commemorate 500 years since the death of Raphael, of the National Committee to commemorate 500 years since the death of Leonardo da Vinci, the Centro Studi Vitruviani in Fano, the Biblioteca Oliveriana in Pesaro, and curated by Sistema Museo, three events have been organised by the scientific committee, as a path with a unified guiding thread between these artists and their connection with the region.

In Urbino from 17 May, the exhibition entitled “From Raphael. Raffaellino del Colle

The exhibition in Urbino, curated by Vittorio Sgarbi, paves the way for the celebration there in 2020, five hundred years since the death of Raphael (1483 – 1520), of whom Raffaellino (1494/97 – 1566) was one of the truest and smartest followers. The aim of the exhibition is to retrace the progress of the master from Sansepolcro, a student of the “divine painter” whose art, even though he mainly worked in the Marche region, deserves to be historically revalued and disseminated today. For the first time it will be possible to admire some of his most significant work from churches and museums in Rome, Cagli, Mercatello sul Metauro, Perugia, Piobbico, Sansepolcro, Sant’Angelo in Vado, Urbania and Urbino. The path is introduced through two works by Raphael, from the collection at the Accademia Nazionale of San Luca in Rome: a small panel, almost a premiere, showing the Madonna and Child and the fresco called Putto reggi festone.

FANO
Leonardo and Vitruvius: beyond the Circle and the Square.
Searching for Harmony. Hundreds of initiatives and events with an international outlook are planned all over Europe, most notably in Italy and France. Also the Municipality of Fano wishes to take part in the celebrations with a great event: from 12 July to 13 October 2019 the Museum of Palazzo Malatestiano, in the Morganti Hall, will be hosting the exhibition “Leonardo and Vitruvius: beyond the Circle and the Square.
Searching for Harmony. The Legendary Drawings of the Codex Atlanticus”, curated by Guido Beltramini, Francesca Borgo and Paolo Clini.
The exhibition in Fano, for the first time, will show visitors the battle between a man and book, between Leonardo and Vitruvius. This is the town of the great Roman architect, the site of the legendary Basilica, recently the subject of archaeological surveys, and were whole generations of architects have left their mark, starting in the Renaissance, from Fra Giocondo to Andrea Palladio and Claude Perrault.
Visitors will have the rare opportunity of seeing close-up five original drawings by Leonardo from the legendary Codex Atlanticus, kept at the Biblioteca Ambrosiana in Milan. It is the first time in recent years that the valuable autograph sheets by Leonardo are displayed in a venue on the central Adriatic coast of Italy.

PESARO
Agostino Iacurci. An Oneiric Journey through the Pages of De Architectura is an articulated site specific project designed, for Musei Civici in Pesaro, by Agostino Iacurci (1986) – an artist known all over the
