His voice is sweet and rich, entirely free of nasality, with complete command of the upper register and coloratura, rhythmic precision and a strong stage presence: he has everything it takes.\u00bb<\/em> So wrote ResMusica<\/em> after seeing Dave Monaco<\/strong>\u2019s Don Ramiro<\/strong> in Rossini’s Cenerentola<\/em><\/strong><\/a> last year at the Op\u00e9ra National de Lorraine: a role and production the tenor returns to on 21 and 23 May<\/strong> at the Grand Th\u00e9\u00e2tre de Luxembourg<\/strong>.

\u201cDon Ramiro is a role I\u2019m really attached to, I know it well now but it still excites and entertains me each time I come back to it,\u201d says Dave<\/strong>. \u201cBefore heading back to Rome for rehearsals of L\u2019Italiana in Algeri<\/em>, I\u2019m making a quick stop in Luxembourg with this production directed by Fabrice Murgia which first opened last December at the Op\u00e9ra de Nancy. After Reims and Caen, we\u2019re wrapping up this amazing journey with a Cenerentola<\/em> that is gothic, vibrant, witty and unpredictable.<\/td><\/tr>
