\ud83c\uddec\ud83c\udde7\u00a0Benedetta Torre<\/strong>, one of the most captivating Mozart singers of her generation, makes her\u00a0debut in China<\/strong>\u00a0as\u00a0Susanna<\/strong>\u00a0in\u00a0Le nozze di Figaro<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, on stage at Beijing\u2019s\u00a0National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA)<\/strong>\u00a0from\u00a015th to 20th July<\/strong>.Her Susanna, already acclaimed in Italy\u2019s most renowned opera houses like La Scala and Rome Opera, has won over both audiences and critics who describe her as\u00a0\u201cstrong-willed, playfully clever, overflowing with femininity and the true driving force of the story.\u201d<\/em>

\u201cI\u2019m thrilled to return to Susanna, a role that\u2019s close to my heart,\u201d\u00a0said Benedetta ahead of opening night.\u00a0<\/strong>\u201cThis production has a distinctly Italian feel, from Giuliano Spinelli\u2019s set design inspired by Frigerio to the costumes originally created by Squarciapino and reimagined here by Irene Monti. Strehler’s legacy is also clearly present, further developed by Alessandra Panzavolta, who revives Jos\u00e9 Luis Castro\u2019s original staging.
I\u2019ll be sharing the stage with seasoned Mozart colleagues I\u2019ve had the pleasure of working with before, and I’m sure this Beijing adventure will be unforgettable artistically and as a cultural and life experience. What can I say about Susanna, except that she\u2019s a role I love because it requires both straightforwardness and liveliness in the singing as well as lyrical expression. In terms of acting, it demands great involvement and realism since she is the driving force behind the stage action from the beginning to the end of the opera. In short, it\u2019s a challenging role in every respect \u2014 truly exciting for me as a genuine singing-actress, which is exactly what I enjoy doing.\u201d

The performance on\u00a019th July\u00a0<\/strong>will be\u00a0livestreamed<\/strong>, marking a historic moment as it will be the\u00a0first opera ever to be streamed from the NCPA<\/strong>.

\ud83c\uddee\ud83c\uddf9 Benedetta Torre<\/strong>, tra le voci mozartiane pi\u00f9 interessanti della sua generazione, debutta in Cina<\/strong> nei panni di Susanna <\/strong>ne Le nozze di Figaro<\/em><\/a><\/strong> in scena al National Centre for the Performing Arts<\/strong> (NCPA) di Pechino dal 15 al 20 luglio<\/strong>. La sua Susanna, gi\u00e0 acclamata nei pi\u00f9 prestigiosi teatri italiani, tra cui La Scala di Milano e il Teatro dell\u2019Opera di Roma, ha conquistato pubblico e critica che la descrivono come \u201cvolitiva, simpaticamente furba, dalla femminilit\u00e0 strabordante, vero motore della vicenda\u201d.<\/em>

\u00abSono felice di tornare a Susanna, un ruolo del cuore \u2013 ha dichiarato Benedetta alla vigilia della prima<\/strong> \u2013 in una produzione che certamente ha un sapore molto italiano, vista l\u2019ispirazione estetica sia alle scene di Frigerio da parte di Giuliano Spinelli, sia ai costumi della Squarciapino qui ideati da Irene Monti. Chiara \u00e8 poi l\u2019eredit\u00e0 a livello registico lasciata da Strehler, qui sviluppata da Alessandra Panzavolta che riprende il primo allestimento di Jos\u00e9 Luis Castro. Non da ultimo sar\u00f2 affiancata da esperti colleghi mozartiani con i quali ho gi\u00e0 avuto il piacere di lavorare e che ritrovo in questa avventura pechinese, che sar\u00e0 senza dubbio un ricordo indelebile sia a livello artistico che di esperienza culturale e di vita. Che dire di Susanna, se non che \u00e8 un ruolo che amo perch\u00e9 richiede nel canto sia schiettezza e vivacit\u00e0 ma anche lirismo, mentre nella recitazione vuole grande partecipazione e realismo perch\u00e9 rappresenta il meccanismo principale dell\u2019azione scenica dall\u2019inizio alla fine dell\u2019opera. Insomma, un bell\u2019impegno sotto tutti i punti di vista, davvero avvincente per me, da vera cantante-attrice, che \u00e8 proprio quello che mi piace fare\u00bb.
Il 19 luglio<\/strong> lo spettacolo sar\u00e0 trasmesso in streaming<\/strong>, segnando un momento storico: si tratter\u00e0 del primo streaming operistico nella storia della NCPA<\/strong>.
