\ud83c\uddec\ud83c\udde7 On Wednesday 10th September<\/strong> at 9:00 p.m., Dave Monaco<\/strong> will be among the featured soloists in the Mozart Requiem<\/em><\/strong> marking the 45th anniversary <\/strong>of the very first concert by the Orchestra della Toscana <\/strong>(ORT), set in the extraordinary venue of the Basilica of Santa Croce<\/strong>,\u00aba national monument of Italy but, above all, a prestigious symbol of Florence\u00bb<\/em>,as the tenor himself described it.
This special event, which also serves as a preview to the new concert season, is conceived as a gesture of gratitude and connection with the city and its audience. Admission is free<\/strong> but booking is required via the Opera di Santa Croce website, here<\/strong><\/a>.

For Dave, this concert holds deep personal and symbolic meaning<\/strong>: \u00abImagine how moving it is for me to be singing in one of the most profound, mysterious works ever composed, there amongst the urns of strong men<\/em>, including that of my beloved Rossini. I am grateful that singing has given me the opportunity this year to express myself in exceptional works and theatres, and to conclude my remarkable summer with this performance which, for me, is almost like a thanksgiving mass. I extend my best wishes to the Orchestra della Toscana on this special occasion, with my compliments for deciding to celebrate by offering the audience free entry: I can\u2019t wait to take part under their principal conductor Diego Ceretta leading the ORT and the Harmonia Cantata choir prepared by Raffaele Puccianti, joined by the other soloists Francesca Pia Vitale, Eleonora Filipponi and Francesco Leone.\u00bb

The evening, titled Et Lux Perpetua<\/em>, will open with another masterpiece of sacred music: the Marche religieuse<\/em> by Florentine composer Luigi Cherubini, whose 265th birthday will be celebrated on 14th September.<\/td><\/tr>

Infatti, l\u2019ingresso sar\u00e0 gratuito<\/strong> con prenotazione tramite il sito dell\u2019Opera di Santa Croce, qui<\/strong><\/a>.

Per Dave<\/strong>, si tratta di un momento dal forte significato personale e simbolico<\/strong>: \u00abImmaginate la mia emozione nel cantare in una delle pagine pi\u00f9 profonde e misteriose che siano mai state composte, l\u00ec dove ci sono le \u201curne dei forti\u201d, compresa quella del mio amato Rossini. Sono grato al canto per avermi dato quest\u2019anno l\u2019occasione di esprimermi con parti e in teatri straordinari e di portare a termine la mia estate speciale con questa esecuzione che per me \u00e8 quasi una messa di ringraziamento. Faccio gli auguri all\u2019Orchestra della Toscana per la ricorrenza e mi complimento per la decisione di festeggiarla offrendo l\u2019ingresso gratuito al pubblico: non vedo l\u2019ora di prendervi parte e di essere diretto dal suo direttore principale Diego Ceretta alla guida dell\u2019ORT e del coro Harmonia Cantata preparato da Raffaele Puccianti, con il cast vocale completato da Francesca Pia Vitale, Eleonora Filipponi e Francesco Leone\u00bb.\u200b<\/strong>Intitolata Et Lux Perpetua<\/em>, la serata si aprir\u00e0 con un altro capolavoro della musica sacra, la Marche religieuse<\/em> del fiorentino Luigi Cherubini del quale il 14 settembre si festeggia il 265\u00b0 anniversario della nascita.
