\ud83c\uddec\ud83c\udde7 Annalisa Stroppa returns to the ABAO Bilbao Opera season<\/strong> \u201cwith great enthusiasm\u201d, following a ten-year absence. She does so in one of her most cherished roles: Charlotte<\/strong> in<\/strong> Massenet\u2019s Werther<\/em><\/strong>, a role she debuted in 2024 in Dortmund and has since performed in Bologna and Buenos Aires.

\u201cCharlotte is a role I deeply identify with and one I had wanted to sing for many years. To have it in my repertoire now is an immense joy,\u201d says the mezzosoprano from Brescia<\/strong>. \u201cI fell in love with this gentle, honest and sensitive character at the very start of my career. From an acting point of view, she evolves throughout the opera, allowing you to explore the full range of her emotions and inner changes, which Massenet masterfully embeds in the vocal writing. Stepping into her shoes and living her entire dramatic journey from within is deeply moving. At the same time, Massenet\u2019s music \u2014 with its extraordinary beauty and modernity \u2014 demands total commitment: the voice becomes just one instrument within a broader symphonic conception. Entering that musical current is immensely rewarding.\u201d

The Bilbao Opera will present the same production created for the Teatro Comunale di Bologna by Rosetta Cucchi<\/strong>, in which Stroppa appeared two years ago, with Carlo Montanaro conducting the Bilbao Symphony Orchestra. Performances are scheduled for<\/strong> 17, 20, 23 and 26 January<\/strong>.<\/td><\/tr>

\ud83c\uddee\ud83c\uddf9 Annalisa Stroppa torna a cantare nella stagione dell\u2019Opera ABAO di Bilbao<\/strong> \u00abcon grande entusiasmo\u00bb, dopo un\u2019assenza di dieci anni. Il ritorno avviene con uno dei ruoli a lei pi\u00f9 cari: Charlotte<\/strong> nel Werther<\/em> di Massenet<\/strong>, personaggio che ha debuttato nel 2024 a Dortmund e successivamente interpretato nei teatri di Bologna e Buenos Aires.

\u00abCharlotte \u00e8 un ruolo in cui mi rivedo e che desideravo cantare da anni. Averlo ora nel mio repertorio \u00e8 una gioia immensa\u201d \u2013 dichiara il mezzosoprano bresciano<\/strong>. Mi sono innamorata di questo personaggio dolce, onesto e sensibile sin all\u2019inizio della mia carriera. Dal punto di vista attoriale, evolve nel corso dell\u2019opera e ti permette di esprimere tutti i suoi sentimenti e i cambiamenti emotivi, infusi magistralmente dal compositore nel canto. \u00c8 emozionante mettersi nei suoi panni e viverne in prima persona l\u2019intero arco drammatico. D’altra parte, la musica di Massenet, con la sua incredibile bellezza e modernit\u00e0, richiede una partecipazione assoluta: la voce \u00e8 solo uno strumento all’interno della sua concezione sinfonica. Entrare in quel flusso \u00e8 immensamente gratificante\u00bb.

A Bilbao va in scena la stessa produzione del Comunale di Bologna<\/strong>, gi\u00e0 affrontata da Annalisa due anni fa, firmata daRosetta Cucchi e con la direzione musicale di Carlo Montanaro alla guida dell\u2019Orchestra Sinfonica di Bilbao. Le recite sono in programma il<\/strong> 17, 20, 23 e 26 gennaio<\/strong>.<\/td><\/tr>
