Orchestra, Coro e Tecnici areniani portano in scena l\u2019allestimento firmato da Enrico Stinchelli con i costumi del premiato Maurizio Millenotti e il visual design di Ezio Antonelli. Repliche mercoled\u00ec 21 gennaio alle 19, venerd\u00ec 23 alle 20, domenica 25 alle 15.30.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dal Seicento ad oggi, il mito di Don Giovanni affascina l\u2019umanit\u00e0: il seduttore incallito, l\u2019uomo incessantemente in movimento alla ricerca della vita \u00e8, al pari di Faust, <strong>il personaggio che arriva a sfidare i limiti dell\u2019umano e del divino.<\/strong> Ma pi\u00f9 di tutte le pi\u00e8ce teatrali, di tutti i racconti, i romanzi e i film prodotti in pi\u00f9 di quattro secoli, l\u2019opera di Mozart \u00e8 riuscita a immortalare questa figura sfuggente e beffarda, demoniaca e accattivante, grazie ad una musica tanto vorticosa quanto ammaliante, dolce ed infernale. <strong><em>Don Giovanni<\/em><\/strong><strong> \u00e8 un \u201cdramma giocoso\u201d in cui convivono gli espedienti dell\u2019opera buffa italiana e inaspettati abissi tragici:<\/strong> il protagonista non teme la morte, la causa e ne ride, fino a sfidarla. La profondit\u00e0 e la dualit\u00e0 dell\u2019opera si manifestano sin dalla sinfonia iniziale, che conduce gli ascoltatori dal dramma alla commedia fino all\u2019apertura di sipario. Inseguimenti, travestimenti, seduzioni, inganni, smascheramenti, duetti amorosi e scontri mortali: in poco meno di tre ore di musica e teatro, Mozart ha creato un universo di personaggi che gravitano intorno al memorabile protagonista del titolo. <strong>Un classico che ad ogni ascolto e visione interroga il pubblico, suggerendo sempre nuovi orizzonti.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Per rendere giustizia a <em>Don Giovanni<\/em> occorrono artisti pronti alle sfide sceniche tanto a quelle musicali, come sono quelli del cast in scena a Verona per l\u2019inaugurazione 2026. Nel ruolo del titolo debutta al Teatro Filarmonico il giovane baritono <strong>Christian Federici<\/strong>, gi\u00e0 vincitore dei Concorsi internazionali di Spoleto e \u00abToti Dal Monte\u00bb, recentemente apprezzato su diversi palcoscenici proprio come Don Giovanni, accanto all\u2019esperto Leporello di <strong>Paolo Bordogna<\/strong>. Donna Anna sar\u00e0 interpretata da <strong>Gilda Fiume<\/strong> mentre Donna Elvira da <strong>Marta Torbidoni<\/strong>, entrambe voci areniane e soprani internazionalmente affermati. Nel ruolo di Don Ottavio si alterneranno due tenori: l\u2019applaudito <strong>Edgardo Rocha<\/strong> (18 e 21 gennaio) e <strong>Leonardo S\u00e1nchez<\/strong>, esordiente a Verona (23 e 25 gennaio). Debutta al Teatro Filarmonico anche il soprano <strong>Emma Fekete<\/strong> come Zerlina accanto allo sposo Masetto interpretato dal giovane basso <strong>Alessandro Abis<\/strong>. Completa il cast <strong>Ramaz Chikviladze<\/strong> come Commendatore, colui che, ucciso da Don Giovanni, torner\u00e0 dalle tenebre sfidato dall\u2019impavido protagonista. A dirigere l\u2019<strong>Orchestra di Fondazione Arena<\/strong> il Maestro <strong>Francesco Lanzillotta,<\/strong> applaudito a Verona e nei maggiori teatri internazionali, nonch\u00e9 prossimo al debutto in Anfiteatro. Il <strong>Coro<\/strong>, diretto da <strong>Roberto Gabbiani<\/strong>, \u00e8 in scena con <strong>diversi mimi e giovanissimi figuranti provenienti dal nuovo Coro di voci bianche<\/strong> di Fondazione Arena di Verona. I <strong>Tecnici<\/strong> portano in scena lo spettacolo insieme tradizionale e tecnologico, narrativo e metateatrale di <strong>Enrico Stinchelli<\/strong>, che firma regia e impianto scenico insieme al visual design di <strong>Ezio<\/strong> <strong>Antonelli<\/strong> e alle luci di Paolo Mazzon. Si comincia con <strong><em>Don Giovanni<\/em> del regista Joseph Losey (1979), celebre film in cui l\u2019opera di Mozart rivive nei luoghi palladiani con un cast di stelle<\/strong> (Raimondi, Te Kanawa, van Dam, Berganza, diretti da Maazel) e un\u2019eleganza senza tempo premiata da diversi C\u00e9sar e David di Donatello. Tutte le giornate di visita (dieci appuntamenti fino a dicembre, sempre il sabato mattina) avranno un primo turno alle ore 10.30 e un secondo turno alle ore 12. Il percorso, che varier\u00e0 ogni volta in base agli spettacoli in produzione, durer\u00e0 un\u2019ora circa ed \u00e8 aperto a gruppi fino ad un massimo di 20 persone. Per partecipare, \u00e8 possibile riservare il proprio posto con un biglietto intero di 5 euro o ridotto a 3 euro per le fasce Under30\/Over65.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>L\u2019OPERA, GLI AUTORI E LA TRAMA<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mozart (1756-1791) scrisse <em>Il dissoluto punito o sia il Don Giovanni<\/em> per la compagnia italiana del Teatro degli Stati di Praga nel 1787, sull\u2019onda dell\u2019enorme successo che la sua ultima creazione, <em>Le Nozze di Figaro<\/em>, riscuoteva pi\u00f9 che nella capitale dell\u2019Impero asburgico. <strong>Librettista il medesimo collaboratore delle acclamate <\/strong><strong><em>Nozze, <\/em><\/strong><strong>Lorenzo Da Ponte<\/strong> (1749-1838), figura poliedrica e a suo modo dongiovannesca, che attinse alle ben note creazioni di Tirso de Molina e Moli\u00e8re e soprattutto alla pi\u00f9 recente opera ispirata allo stesso soggetto di Gazzaniga su testo di Bertati. La variet\u00e0 di metro e situazioni e la profondit\u00e0 psicologica dei personaggi sono qui per\u00f2 ineguagliati, per la piena maturit\u00e0 di librettista e compositore, destinati a realizzare insieme un terzo capolavoro operistico in <em>Cos\u00ec fan tutte<\/em> (1790). <strong>Sfide drammaturgiche e sperimentazioni musicali<\/strong> <strong>senza precedenti <\/strong>(come la compresenza di tre orchestre impegnate in contemporanea in tre danze diverse). <em>Don Giovanni<\/em> ebbe subito successo ma, alla prima ripresa dell\u2019opera a Vienna, cadde dopo solo quindici serate. L\u00ec il compositore aveva acconsentito ad alcune sostanziali modifiche, compreso il taglio del lieto fine dopo la scomparsa del protagonista negli inferi, aprendo la strada a nuovi enigmi nella storia interpretativa dell\u2019opera, tuttora aperti.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>La trama in breve.<\/em><\/strong><em> Dopo la celebre <\/em>Ouverture<em>, il sipario si apre su una notte sivigliana. Il servo Leporello \u00e8 stanco di fare la guardia mentre il suo insaziabile padrone Don Giovanni si intrattiene con donne di \u201cogni grado, forma, et\u00e0\u201d. Ma questa volta il seduttore \u00e8 in fuga da Donna Anna e dal di lei padre, il vecchio Commendatore che lo sfida a duello e ha la peggio. Leporello \u00e8 sconvolto ma pu\u00f2 solo fare da scudo al padrone mettendo la \u201cex\u201d Donna Elvira di fronte all\u2019interminabile catalogo di sedotte e abbandonate. Nel frattempo Don Giovanni irrompe alla festa contadina dei neosposi Zerlina e Masetto, allontanando lui e seducendo lei, ma i suoi piani sono guastati dalle due donne precedenti in cerca di vendetta, aiutate da Don Ottavio, promesso di Donna Anna. Nella festa a cui tutti sono invitati, il nobile status di Don Giovanni non riesce pi\u00f9 a fornire alibi ai suoi delitti. Dopo ulteriori inganni, serenate e violenze, in fuga con Leporello, il dissoluto padrone si rifugia casualmente in un cimitero dove trova la statua del Commendatore ucciso in duello. Entrambi vedono la statua muoversi ma Don Giovanni non ne ha paura: la invita anzi a cena. Flaubert diceva che tre erano le cose pi\u00f9 belle create da Dio: il mare, l\u2019Amleto e il <em>Don Giovanni <\/em>di Mozart. Ancora oggi dopo oltre 200 anni dalla sua prima esecuzione \u00e8 un\u2019opera aperta, carica di sottintesi e di dubbi irrisolti, campo di battaglia per registi pronti a tutto e palestra vocale e stilistica per cantanti forse non del tutto consapevoli delle enormi difficolt\u00e0 poste da Mozart. Fate caso:<em> Don Giovanni<\/em> lascia a tutti la possibilit\u00e0 di sperimentare e di rischiare, \u00e8 un\u2019opera senza tempo, per questo ho scelto un\u2019impostazione agile, dinamica, a tratti surreale, ma strettamente legata alla drammaturgia, perch\u00e9 <em>Don Giovanni<\/em> racconta una storia ben precisa. I bellissimi costumi di Maurizio Millenotti, utilizzati per il meraviglioso spettacolo proposto da Zeffirelli in Arena, sono il <em>trait d\u2019union<\/em> con la grande tradizione, direi una garanzia di bellezza e di rispetto. In realt\u00e0 l\u2019idea che caratterizza questa nuova produzione, attraverso le scene e le proiezioni realizzate da Ezio Antonelli, ci conduce in un altro mondo, che \u00e8 puro \u201cteatro nel teatro\u201d. Un mondo fatto di proiezioni dinamiche e luci, che narrano &#8211; com\u2019\u00e8 nel mio stile &#8211; le vicende del grande libertino e svelano la potenza vittoriosa del protagonista, il quale si erge sopra tutti gli altri personaggi. Un grande burattinaio, che ride beffardo delle miserie umane e si diverte a manovrare le sue vittime, senza alcuna cura di s\u00e9 stesso, persino di fronte alla morte, che sfida orgogliosamente come Capaneo nell\u2019Inferno dantesco. Le proiezioni e il disegno luci, in stretta relazione con l\u2019incalzare della vicenda e della musica, rappresentano la tecnologia pi\u00f9 avanzata al servizio della tradizione, l\u2019arma segreta per rilanciare lo spettacolo pi\u00f9 costoso e complesso, ma anche pi\u00f9 affascinante che esista: l\u2019opera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vorrei proporvi una riflessione sul ruolo del protagonista, uno dei rari casi che ha visto coinvolte TUTTE le tipologie vocali maschili. Il primo Don Giovanni, Luigi Bassi (1766-1826), fu una specie di catastrofe vivente: aveva debuttato a soli 13 anni in un&#8217;opera di Anfossi, cant\u00f2Don Giovanni a Praga appena ventiduenne lasciando MOLTO insoddisfatto Mozart. Basso? Baritono? Non si cap\u00ec. Il Don Giovanni della ripresa a Vienna fu Francesco Albertarelli, un buffo, con scarsa attrattiva fisica, giudicato persino inferiore al Bassi che, per lo meno, si presentava bene come figura. Nella prima met\u00e0 dell&#8217;800 i pi\u00f9 famosi Don Giovanni furono\u2026TENORI:&nbsp;Nicola Tacchinardi, Andrea Nozzari, Manuel Gar\u00e7ia, Adolphe Nourrit e Giovanni de&#8217; Candia (Mario), a ben vedere dei classici baritenori di scuola rossiniana. Poi apparvero i baritoni, tra questi Tamburini, Coletti, De Bassini, Ronconi, Graziani, Faure,oltre al famoso bassi Lablache, che fu un famoso buffo. La galleria si chiude con Maurel (il primo Falstaff, Jago), Lassalle, Ancona, Renaud, arrivando a Mattia Battistini, le cui registrazioni di <em>Don Giovanni <\/em>pervenuteci sono tra le peggiori interpretazioni mai udite. Nel \u2018900 finalmente una boccata d&#8217;ossigeno: Stabile, Pinza (divo al Met), Brownlee, Schoeffler, Petri, Silveri, persino Taddei (ma solo in disco), il fenomenale Siepi arrivando a Gobbi, Waechter, Rossi Lemeni, London, Ghiaurov, Soyer, Raimondi (gratificato da un notissimo film), Milnes, Van Dam, Bruson, Ramey, cui hanno fatto seguito Coni, D&#8217;Arcangelo, Scandiuzzi, Alberghini, Pisaroni, Pertusi, Shrott, Keenlyside, Mattei e via via tanti altri. QUINDI: tenori nell&#8217;800, poi baritoni e bassi alternativamente. Il basso non ha vita facile con Don Giovanni: la tessitura lo impegna moltissimo sulle note di passaggio proprie del baritono e lo condiziona. Pi\u00f9 a suo agio il baritono, ovviamente, che pu\u00f2 permettersi una diversa disinvoltura vocale. Anche perch\u00e9 Leporello, l&#8217;alter ego, \u00e8 in realt\u00e0 un basso vero, direi pure un basso scuro. E a questo proposito ricorder\u00f2 ci\u00f2 che accadde al Met in una storica recita diretta da Walter, in cui si ritrovarono Pinza come Don Giovanni e Alexander Kipnis, meraviglioso basso profondo, come Leporello. Nella scena del travestimento del II atto, quando l&#8217;uno deve imitare la voce dell&#8217;altro, Kipnis fece l&#8217;esatta imitazione di Pinza, producendo un comicissimo vibrato stretto (caratteristica della voce di Pinza) con boati di risate del pubblico. Pinza, invece (che era un basso chiaro), non riusc\u00ec a imitare i suoni scuri e profondi del collega. Da quella sera i due non cantarono mai pi\u00f9 insieme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lo straordinario lavoro compiuto da Mozart e Da Ponte mise in particolare risalto le tre figure femminili del <em>Don Giovanni<\/em>: Donna Anna, Donna Elvira e Zerlina. Nel primo caso abbiamo la caratterizzazione di una donna fiera, sdegnosa, dalle profonde malinconie alternate a veementi scatti d&#8217;ira, in cui domina il contrasto tra l&#8217;attrazione fortissima e malcelata per Don Giovanni e l&#8217;eterno fidanzamento con Don Ottavio, figura rassicurante ma fondamentalmente noiosa. E le donne, come i gatti, hanno il terrore della noia! Questo, sia Mozart sia soprattutto Da Ponte lo sapevano benissimo. Ecco quindi che Donna Anna sembra odiare Don Giovanni, non tanto per avergli ucciso il padre, ma per non aver completato l'\u00bbopera di seduzione\u00bb appena iniziata. Don Giovanni ha posseduto Donna Anna o no? Questo dubbio permane. Nella mia reg\u00eca cercher\u00f2 di sottolineare questa ansia e queste voglie represse, che ben vengono esposte nel racconto che fa Donna Anna a Don Ottavio \u00abEra gi\u00e0 alquanto avanzata la notte\u00bb, in cui viene narrato il tentativo, forse riuscito, di stupro. La risposta di Don Ottavio \u00e8 una delle pi\u00f9 comiche frasi della storia operistica: \u00abOhim\u00e9&#8230;respiro\u00bb. Donna Elvira \u00e8 il classico ritratto della \u00absedotta e abbandonata\u00bb che non vuole saperne di dover rinunciare all&#8217;impenitente libertino. La donna in preda a una crisi di nervi perenne, cos\u00ec poco credibile anche se compatibile. A ogni sua apparizione si sorride un po\u2019 amaramente, poich\u00e9 \u00e8 scocciante e insistente, nonostante la battaglia sia persa in partenza. A Donna Elvira sono riservate arie di notevole difficolt\u00e0, il ruolo \u00e8 davvero ingrato, soprattutto nella versione di Vienna che vide aggiunta l&#8217;aria \u00abMi trad\u00ec quell&#8217;alma ingrata\u00bb (scritta per Caterina Cavalieri, celebre virtuosa dell&#8217;Opera di Vienna). Da notare che, vocalmente, non vi sono grandi differenze tra Donna Anna e Donna Elvira, per cui risulta completamente inspiegabile la tradizione che volle \u00abscura e drammatica\u00bb Donna Anna e \u00abdolce e lirica\u00bb Donna Elvira (si pensi a una Nilsson o a una Price contrapposte a una Schwarzkopf o a una Della Casa!). Questo tipo di contrasto \u00e8 andato stemperandosi nei<em> Don Giovanni<\/em> dell&#8217;ultimo trentennio, fin quasi a rovesciare le parti (si pensi a una Antonacci\/Elvira, per esempio, o a una Devia\/Donna Anna). Zerlina appartiene invece alla classica tipologia della contadinotta astuta, maliziosa, un po\u2019 ingenua e molto sexy, un carattere che Da Ponte ben conosceva, essendo ispirato dalla bella sedicenne figlia della sua padrona di casa, con la quale (apprendiamo dalle sue Memorie) si trastullava durante la composizione del<em> Don Giovanni<\/em>. Attenzione: Zerlina non \u00e8 un sopranino-soubrette. Affatto. Zerlina \u00e8 a tutti gli effetti un soprano pieno, di alte virt\u00f9 tecniche, storicamente interpretata da grandissime cantanti: la Malibran, la Grisi, la Tacchinardi-Persiani, la Viardot, la Alboni, la Patti e andando pi\u00f9 avanti nel tempo la Favero, la Cebotari, la Sayao, la Seefried, la Carteri, la Moffo, la Freni, la deliziosa Sciutti, ma anche la Stratas, in disco la Horne, vale a dire vocalit\u00e0 che vanno dal mezzosoprano o contralto d&#8217;agilit\u00e0 fino al soprano leggero. Come si pu\u00f2 vedere: fare un cast per <em>Don Giovanni<\/em> non \u00e8 cosa semplice e lo stesso vale per la reg\u00eca, aperta a tante possibilit\u00e0, ma condizionata dal rigido schema K\u00fcnstlern<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Die Tournee bringt die k\u00fcnstlerischen und technischen Ensembles durch die Theater Venetiens, an das Teatro Regio di Parma sowie nach Australien<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ein intensives Jahr voller Herausforderungen steht bevor. Die Fondazione Arena di Verona pr\u00e4sentiert die <strong>Spielzeit 2026 im Teatro Filarmonico: gleich 42 Abende mit Oper, Tanz und Sinfoniekonzerten. Hinzu kommen \u00f6ffentliche Proben f\u00fcr Schulklassen, Vorstellungen f\u00fcr junge Menschen und Familien, Kurse f\u00fcr den Kinderchor sowie zahlreiche Ausw\u00e4rtstermine \u2013 von Auff\u00fchrungen von <em>Aida<\/em> in Australien bis zur Tournee mit Sinfoniekonzerten durch die St\u00e4dte Venetiens.&nbsp; <\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ein besonderes Jahr, in dem Verona im Fokus der internationalen Aufmerksamkeit steht \u2013 zum einen, weil erstmals ein gesamtes Opernhaus zu einer Gastspielreise ans andere Ende der Welt, nach Australien, aufbricht, zum anderen wegen der olympischen Zeremonien in der Arena. Infolge der intensiven Zusammenarbeit und prominenter Gastauftritte aus dem In- und Ausland in der Scaligerstadt Verona bringt die Spielzeit 2026 ein durchdachtes Programm auf mehreren B\u00fchnen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Die Opern- und Ballettsaison umfasst 7 Produktionen: 5 Opern und 2 Ballette<\/strong>. Vom 18. bis 25. Januar \u2013 dem Mozart-Monat \u2013 kehrt dank des etablierten Festivals \u201eMozart a Verona\u201c Mozarts <em><u>Don Giovanni<\/u><\/em> in der Inszenierung der Fondazione Arena auf die B\u00fchne zur\u00fcck. Im Februar hebt sich der Vorhang ausnahmsweise auf der B\u00fchne des Teatro Ristori, und zwar f\u00fcr eine neue Barockproduktion: Vivaldis <em><u>L\u2019Olimpiade<\/u><\/em> ist vom 23. Februar bis 1. M\u00e4rz in der Produktion des Th\u00e9\u00e2tre des Champs-\u00c9lys\u00e9es zu erleben, genau an den Tagen der gro\u00dfen olympischen Zeremonien. Eine exklusive Vorauff\u00fchrung findet am 21. Februar auf Einladung statt. Vom 22. bis 29. M\u00e4rz kehren die k\u00fcnstlerischen und technischen Ensembles der Fondazione Arena ins Teatro Filarmonico zur\u00fcck: Verdis <em><u>Falstaff<\/u><\/em>, sein sp\u00e4tes Meisterwerk, steht auf dem Programm \u2013 ein Jahr nach der Auff\u00fchrung des gleichnamigen Werks von Salieri. Die Inszenierung stammt vom Teatro Regio di Parma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nach der sommerlichen Spielpause kehrt die Oper vom 25. Oktober bis 1. November auf die B\u00fchne des Teatro Filarmonico zur\u00fcck: Menottis <em><u>Amelia al ballo<\/u><\/em> feiert Hauspremiere, eingeleitet von Strawinskys Ballett <em><u>Jeu de cartes<\/u><\/em> in einer Neuproduktion der Fondazione Arena di Verona. Ein in Verona erstmals zu erlebender Doppelabend. Vom 22. bis 29. November ist <em><u>La Boh\u00e8me Pucciniana <\/u><\/em>in der neuesten Produktion aus Verona an der Reihe. Vom 13. bis 31. Dezember kehrt <em><u>Il Lago dei cigni <\/u><\/em>zur\u00fcck &#8211; ein Werk, das im vergangenen Jahr mit 6 ausverkauften Abenden das Publikum eroberte und 2026 auch auf der B\u00fchne des Teatro Regio di Parma erwartet wird. Ebenfalls f\u00fcr 2026 best\u00e4tigt sind die vertiefenden Einf\u00fchrungsgespr\u00e4che in Zusammenarbeit mit der Accademia Filarmonica di Verona: An den Donnerstagen vor der Premiere, jeweils um 18 Uhr in der Sala Veranda, erl\u00e4utern Musikwissenschaftler und Journalisten die Oper des Abends. Carla Moreni, Alberto Mattioli, Giovanni Gavazzeni, Giuliano Danieli, Fabio Sartorelli und Valentina Bonelli treten mit dem Publikum in den Dialog und vertiefen Handlungen, Besonderheiten und Anekdoten zu den einzelnen Opern- und Ballettwerken. Die Veranstaltungen sind kostenlos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Im Anschluss an die gro\u00dfen Ereignisse, die Verona und die Fondazione Arena in den ersten Monaten 2026 pr\u00e4gen, startet die <strong>Sinfoniesaison<\/strong> im Fr\u00fchjahr mit acht Abonnement-Sinfoniekonzerten, jeweils an zwei Terminen. Vielfach kommt eine dritte Auff\u00fchrung in St\u00e4dten Venetiens hinzu (Rovigo, Treviso, Schio, Vicenza). Die Programme reichen vom 18. Jahrhundert bis in die Gegenwart, mit besonderem Schwerpunkt auf dem sp\u00e4tromantischen Repertoire und der klassischen Moderne des 20. Jahrhunderts. Zudem werden neue Auftragswerke in Urauff\u00fchrung pr\u00e4sentiert. Au\u00dferdem werden die in den vergangenen Jahren begonnenen Sinfonik-Zyklen gro\u00dfer Komponisten (u. a. Mahler, Bart\u00f3k, Brahms) fortgef\u00fchrt. In K\u00fcrze werden neue Initiativen angek\u00fcndigt, die alle darauf abzielen, das Teatro Filarmonico zu einem echten Zuhause und einem Bezugspunkt f\u00fcr alle B\u00fcrger Veronas und Fans aus ganz Italien und der ganzen Welt zu machen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Die Pr\u00e4sentation der Spielzeit 2026 fand im Foyer des Teatro Filarmonico statt, und zwar im Rahmen einer musikalischen Veranstaltung, die Abonnenten sowie dem gesamten Publikum offenstand. <\/strong>Cecilia Gasdia, Oberintendantin der Fondazione Arena, und der Schriftsteller und Kritiker Alberto Mattioli stellten mit Stefano Trespidi, stellvertretender k\u00fcnstlerischer Leiter der Fondazione Arena, die Programme und Besetzungen der kommenden Spielzeit vor. Auch Stadtrat Pietro Trincanato war anwesend. Fondazione Arena di Verona presents the <strong>2026 Artistic Season at the Teatro Filarmonico: 42 evenings of opera, dance and symphonic concerts, which will be joined by open rehearsals for schools, shows for children and families, courses for treble voices and numerous off-site appointments, from <em>Aida<\/em> performances in Australia to the symphonic concert tour of the cities of the Veneto.&nbsp; <\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A special year in which Verona will be the centre of international attention both for the first trip of an entire opera house to the other side of the world, to Australia, and for the Olympic ceremonies in the Arena. Because of the important collaborations and the presence of performers from elsewhere in Italy and abroad in Verona, the 2026 season will be organised in a structured calendar featuring various different venues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Opera and Ballet Season consists of 7 productions: 5 operas and 2 ballets<\/strong>. As part of the firmly established Mozart Festival of Verona, from 18 to 25 January &#8211; Mozart month &#8211; <em><u>Don Giovanni <\/u><\/em>will return to the stage at Fondazione Arena. In February, the curtain will go up on a special new baroque production at Teatro Ristori: from 23 February to 1 March, coinciding with the ceremonies of the Winter Olympics, the Th\u00e9\u00e2tre des Champs-\u00c9lys\u00e9es\u2019s production of Vivaldi&#8217;s <em><u>L\u2019Olimpiade<\/u><\/em> will be performed, with a special invitation-only premiere on 21 February. From 22 to 29 March, the Arena\u2019s artistic and technical ensembles will return to the Teatro Filarmonico for Verdi\u2019s masterpiece <em><u>Falstaff<\/u>, <\/em>a year after the staging of the same opera by Salieri; it will be performed by the Teatro Regio di Parma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As ever, the curtain of the Filarmonico will go down during the summer months, the opera returning to the stage from 25 October to 1 November with Menotti\u2019s <em><u>Amelia Goes to the Ball<\/u><\/em>, performed for the first time at the Teatro. This will be preceded by a new Fondazione Arena di Verona production of the Stravinsky ballet <em><u>Jeu de cartes<\/u><\/em>. Two absolutes firsts for Verona. From 22 to 29 November it will be the turn of the most recent Veronese production of Puccini\u2019s <em><u>La Boh\u00e8me<\/u><\/em>. After 6 sell-out evenings last year, <em><u>Swan Lake <\/u><\/em>&nbsp;will return from 13 to 31 December and in 2026 will also be performed on the stage of the Teatro Regio di Parma. The deep dive meetings held in collaboration with the Accademia Filarmonica di Verona have also been confirmed for 2026: at 6 p.m. on Thursdays before premieres, musicologists and journalists will tell the story of the opera in the Sala Veranda. Carla Moreni, Alberto Mattioli, Giovanni Gavazzeni, Giuliano Danieli, Fabio Sartorelli and Valentina Bonelli will chat with the public, exploring the plots and backstories of the various operas and ballets on the programme, as well as lots of other interesting anecdotes. The meetings will be free of charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the major events that will involve Verona and Fondazione Arena in the first months of 2026, the <strong>Concert Season <\/strong>will begin in the spring with 8 season pass concerts, each of which performed twice and, in many cases, also a third time in different cities of the Veneto (Rovigo, Treviso, Schio, Vicenza). The programmes will range from the 18th century to the contemporary, with a particular focus on the late Romantic period and the 20th century, while also including brand new works. The complete symphonies of great composers begun in recent years (such as Mahler, Bart\u00f3k, Brahms) will also continue. The programme will feature two key cornerstones that have proved very popular with the public: the <strong>great symphonic-choral works <\/strong>(Rossini, for the first time with orchestra, and Beethoven, first performance by the Arena ensembles) and the <strong>presence of leading world-renowned soloists and conductors in dialogue with the artistic and technical ensembles of Fondazione Arena<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The expected artists &#8211; many of whom making their debut at the Teatro Filarmonico &#8211; include, in order of appearance: conductors Francesco Lanzillotta, Giulio Prandi, Giuseppe Grazioli, Francesco Ommassini, Gianna Fratta, Patrick Lange, Sebastiano Rolli, Oleg Caetani, Ram\u00f3n Tebar, L\u00fc Jia, Wolfram Christ, Alpesh Chauhan, Dmitri Jurowski; directors Enrico Stinchelli, Emmanuel Daumas, Jacopo Spirei, Filippo Tonon, Stefano Trespidi; musicians Inmo Yang, Johannes Moser, Marc Bouchkov, Aleksandr Malofeev, Sergej Nakarjakov, and great international opera soloists alongside emerging young talents.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For Opera and Ballet, the usual 4 season pass slots are confirmed (Sunday premieres at 3.30 p.m., Sunday repeat performances at 3.30 p.m., Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. and Friday evening at 8 p.m.), as are the 2 Concert slots (Friday evening at 8 p.m. and Saturday afternoon at 5 p.m.).
