3.Jabir\u00bbs Butts <\/p>\n\n\n\n

he collected cigarette butts from the streets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And in his world, the best man<\/p>\n\n\n\n

was the director of the meat factory,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

because he smoked the cigarette halfway<\/p>\n\n\n\n

and threw it away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The person he hated the most<\/p>\n\n\n\n

was the literature teacher:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

the cigarette had burned his moustache<\/p>\n\n\n\n

and had rotted his teeth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jabir also had a good plan:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

for preparation for winter,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

he would store the cigarette butts<\/p>\n\n\n\n

in glass jars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because a cigarette butt thrown on the snow<\/p>\n\n\n\n

becomes unusable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now I see that<\/p>\n\n\n\n

the family budgets of the poor<\/p>\n\n\n\n

fill up like Jabir\u2019s glass jars,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

and the state budget<\/p>\n\n\n\n

is in the same condition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But the officials who eat the wealth \u2014<\/p>\n\n\n\n

their bloody teeth<\/p>\n\n\n\n

have become even whiter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And there isn\u2019t a single official<\/p>\n\n\n\n

like that director<\/p>\n\n\n\n

who would throw half of the wealth<\/p>\n\n\n\n

to the people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I saw Jabir the other day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His moustache has been yellowed by cigarettes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His teeth have decayed,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

like his life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He says this country is hell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He says the fire of hell<\/p>\n\n\n\n

lights our cigarettes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But there is also one beauty in this \u2014<\/p>\n\n\n\n

it saves a matchstick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A final note:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cigarette had destroyed<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jabir\u2019s lungs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He had become unusable,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

like a cigarette butt thrown on snow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shivering, Jabir died \u2014<\/p>\n\n\n\n

he went from hell\u2019s local branch<\/p>\n\n\n\n

straight to hell itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There he would not be cold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His always-cold body<\/p>\n\n\n\n

would warm up there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This death also affected<\/p>\n\n\n\n

his family budget:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

he had been fined<\/p>\n\n\n\n

300 AZN<\/p>\n\n\n\n

for throwing a cigarette butt<\/p>\n\n\n\n

onto the street,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

and that money remained<\/p>\n\n\n\n

for his family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sometimes even in<\/p>\n\n\n\n

hell\u2019s local branch<\/p>\n\n\n\n

good things happen\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
