There was a tyrant\u2014an old king.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His cruelty was so great<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That even cruelty itself was horrified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One day, sensing his death was near,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He called his heir:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAre you ready, my son? The throne is yours.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The son was ready\u2014<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But the king decided to test him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two rams were brought.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For a month, each of them fed one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A month later\u2014<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The heir\u2019s ram, fat and strong,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Left the bodyguards crippled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But the king\u2019s ram\u2014<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The devil asked him:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The king replied:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou will have to work with my heir.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The devil trembled and said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEnough\u2026 even evil has its limits.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2026And the heir<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Became a very \u201cgood\u201d king.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seeing his cruelty,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The people prayed for his father.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They licked<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His salted shoes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And he pressed<\/p>\n\n\n\n
