Serena intervista il soprano Svetlana Kasyan

 

 

Svetlana Kasyan, soprano. She comes from Georgia –

Svetlana Kasyan graduated from the Moscow State Conservatory in 2011 and was a member of the Bolshoi Young Singers Academy for two years. Svetlana is now a soloist of the State Academic Bolshoi Theatre of Russia, where she sings roles such as Tosca (title role), Kuma in The Enchantress, Fata Morgana in The Love for 3 Oranges and Kupava in Snow Maiden. Outside the Bolshoi Theatre she has performed Elisabetta (Don Carlos)at Teatro Regio di Torino, Cio-Cio San in Madama Butterfly at Teatro la Fenice, Amelia in Un ballo in maschera with Dorset Opera, Tosca with Vilnius City Opera, Theater St Gallen and Teatro la Fenice, and concerts with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and the Berliner Symphoniker. Svetlana begins the 2017/18 season with performances of Tosca at Teatro dell’Opera di Roma and, looking further ahead, performs Nabucco at Semperoper Dresden. Recent highlights include returns to Theater St Gallen and Vilnius City Opera for performances of Tosca, Attila at the Teatro Luciano Pavarotti, Modena, Manon Lescaut at the Teatro Regio Torino, and concerts with the Slovenská Filharmónia. Svetlana is a recipient of several prestigious international prizes, including First Prize at the China International Vocal Competition (2011), and took part in the Svyatoslav Richter International Festival and the Domingo-Cafritz Young Artists Program of the Washington National Opera.

She has just done “il Trittico “ Tabarro” due ruoli – Giorgetta “ e Suor Angelica. After that was my debut as Lisa “ Pique dame “ by Tchaikovsky . E adesso Tosca in Opera a Roma
