 pr & media relations – storytelling & journalism – events & exhibitions  credits Associazione Archivio Storico Olivetti Save the Date | 26 luglio ore 10.00 Ivrea (TO) BUILDING COMMUNITY – MASTERWORK 2025 il programma pubblico del progetto europeo CONCRETORitorna per il secondo anno CONCRETO MASTERWORK, il programma pubblico di conferenze e workshop che affianca le attività della CONCRETO ACADEMY, il progetto di formazione internazionale coordinato dalla Fondazione Pier Luigi Nervi Project volto a promuovere pratiche sostenibili per la rigenerazione delle strutture in cemento attraverso un approccio interdisciplinare e pratico.Partendo dal principio che restaurare significa comprendere il ruolo storico di un edificio nella città, quest’anno il programma pubblico esplorerà l’architettura come spazio di esperienza comune e la sua relazione con l’idea di comunità, ispirandosi alla visione di Adriano Olivetti, secondo cui l’architettura non è solo funzionale, ma un’impresa collettiva per plasmare la società, bilanciando bisogni materiali e culturali. Questo concetto verrà esplorato in due modi. Una visita guidata al complesso Olivetti (sito UNESCO) con il Prof. Daniele Boltri, autore di Architetture olivettiane ad Ivrea. I luoghi della residenza e i servizi per la comunità, per analizzare l’eredità architettonica e sociale. Un workshop pratico di autocostruzione, ispirato ai modelli partecipativi di Enzo Mari, in cui i partecipanti progetteranno e realizzeranno un’opera collettiva. CONCRETO MASTERWORK è curato da Livia Nervi, curatrice e produttrice culturale, laureata al Royal College of Arts di Londra e con un Master all’Università Ca’ Foscari di Venezia. — Programma della giornata: Ore 10:00: Visita guidata attraverso il Sito UNESCO Olivetti con Daniele Boltri (partenza da Via Camillo Olivetti 34) A seguire: Pranzo offerto sulla terrazza del Centro Servizi Sociali (Via Guglielmo Jervis 24) Ore 15:00: Laboratorio di progettazione e autocostruzione presso la CONCRETO Academy (Via Guglielmo Jervis 11) La partecipazione all’evento è gratuita. — CONCRETO ACADEMY è un progetto formativo europeo che nasce dalla sinergia di 13 partner da 4 nazioni e dalla Turchia, con il supporto del programma Erasmus+. Coordinata dalla Fondazione Pier Luigi Nervi Project, l’accademia si avvale della guida scientifica di Irene Matteini, architetta esperta in conservazione del moderno, ricercatrice al Politecnico di Torino e lecturer all’Università della Pennsylvania. It is the public program of conferences and workshops that runs alongside the activities of the CONCRETO ACADEMY, the international training project coordinated by the Pier Luigi Nervi Project Foundation aimed at promoting sustainable practices for the regeneration of concrete structures through an interdisciplinary and practical approach. Based on the principle that restoration means understanding a building’s historical role within the city, this year the public program will explore architecture as a space for common experience and its relationship with the idea of community. It is inspired by the vision of Adriano Olivetti, according to whom architecture is not just functional, but a collective endeavor to shape society, balancing material and cultural needs. This concept will be explored in two ways. A guided tour of the Olivetti complex (a UNESCO site) with Prof. Daniele Boltri, author of Architetture olivettiane ad Ivrea. I luoghi della residenza e i servizi per la comunità (Olivetti Architecture in Ivrea: Places of Residence and Services for the Community), to analyze its architectural and social heritage. A practical self-construction workshop, inspired by the participatory models of Enzo Mari, in which participants will design and create a collective piece. CONCRETO MASTERWORK is curated by Livia Nervi, a curator and cultural producer, graduate of the Royal College of Arts in London and with a Master’s degree from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. — Day’s Schedule: 10:00 AM: Guided tour through the Olivetti UNESCO Site with Daniele Boltri (starting from Via Camillo Olivetti 34) Following: Lunch will be offered on the terrace of the Social Services Center (Via Guglielmo Jervis 24) 3:00 PM: Design and self-construction workshop at the CONCRETO Academy (Via Guglielmo Jervis 11) Participation in the event is free of charge. — CONCRETO ACADEMY is a European training project born from the synergy of 13 partners from 4 nations and Turkey, with the support of the Erasmus+ program. Coordinated by the Pier Luigi Nervi Project Foundation, the academy benefits from the scientific guidance of Irene Matteini, an architect and expert in modern conservation, a researcher at the Polytechnic University of Turin, and a lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania.
