| 🇬🇧 On Friday 1st August conductor Riccardo Frizza will inaugurate the fifth edition of the Festival Cap Rocat set in the breathtaking former fortress in Mallorca. For the opening concert, Frizza will conduct the Symphony Orchestra of the Balearic Islands in an Opera Gala featuring soprano Pretty Yende. «In just a few years, the festival has established itself as a vibrant platform for chamber, symphonic and operatic music, engaging some of the most renowned and beloved artists in the world», said Maestro Frizza. On this occasion, I’ll be conducting the Symphony Orchestra of the Balearic Islands for the first time and reuniting with Pretty Yende who will perform a selection of iconic soprano arias (ranging from Bellini to Verdi, Gounod to Dvořák and Johann Strauss II) interwoven with symphonic pieces by the same composers.I look forward to the musical atmosphere we’ll create in one of the most magical places in the Mediterranean: Cap Rocat is a former fortress nestled in a protected natural area and now home to an architectural complex that honours both history and nature.» |

| 🇮🇹 Venerdì 1 agosto il direttore d’orchestra Riccardo Frizza inaugura la quinta edizione del Festival Cap Rocat, ospitata nella suggestiva ex fortezza di Maiorca. Per il concerto inaugurale, Frizza dirigerà l’Orchestra Sinfonica delle Isole Baleari in un Gala che vedrà anche la partecipazione del soprano Pretty Yende. «In pochi anni di attività, il festival si è imposto come un rigoglioso contenitore di musica da camera, sinfonica e operistica, ingaggiando alcuni degli artisti più noti e amati del mondo – dichiara il Maestro. Nell’occasione, guiderò per la prima volta la Symphony Orchestra of the Balearic Islands e ritroverò Pretty Yende che eseguirà alcune delle Arie distintive del repertorio sopranile (spaziando da Bellini a Verdi, da Gounod a Dvořák e a Johann Strauss II), contrapposte a brani sinfonici degli stessi autori. Pregusto le atmosfere musicali che creeremo in uno dei posti più magici del Mediterraneo: Cap Rocat è un’antica fortezza immersa in un’area naturale protetta che oggi ospita un complesso architettonico rispettoso della storia e della natura». |
