| 🇬🇧 The first New Year concert at the Liceu in Barcelona takes on a special flavour as it hosts the orchestra of Teatro La Fenice for a highly acclaimed guest visit: on Sunday 4th January 2026 at 6 p.m., the Venetian orchestra will share the Catalan stage with the Orchestra del Liceu conducted by Riccardo Frizza. There is great enthusiasm for this concert to which the theatres of these two seaward-facing cities have entrusted several messages, from the creation of a musical and emotional bridge between two such prestigious, longstanding institutions, to the shared celebration of resilience following their devastation by fire in the Nineties and, lastly, the launching of a forward-looking alliance of musical dialogue. This enthusiasm is shared by Maestro Frizza, who has highlighted his satisfaction at leading «the orchestras of the theatres where I’ve conducted the most and with which I’ve created a special relationship over the years. In 2026 I will reach the 25-year milestone in my career and am struck by this further coincidence».The programme is truly magnificent and ranges from the overtures from Semiramide (it was with this opera, composed by Rossini for La Fenice, that Frizza made his debut at the Liceu in 2005), Don Pasquale, Norma, Die Fledermaus and Vespri Siciliani, La Tregenda from Le villi and the intermezzo from Cavalleria rusticana, to some of the solo pieces from the operatic repertoire that are most emblematic of the famous voices of Saioa Hernández and Xabier Anduaga. |

| 🇮🇹 Il primo Concerto di Capodanno del Liceu di Barcellona acquista un sapore speciale, ospitando l’Orchestra del Teatro La Fenice per una trasferta di grande prestigio: domenica 4 gennaio 2026 alle 18.00, la compagine veneziana condividerà il palcoscenico catalano con l’Orchestra del Liceu sotto la direzione di Riccardo Frizza. C’è grande entusiasmo per questo concerto al quale i teatri delle due città di mare affidano più messaggi, a partire dalla creazione di un ponte sonoro ed emotivo tra due prestigiose istituzioni storiche fino alla celebrazione della resilienza condivisa dopo la sventura dell’incendio che li ha devastati negli anni Novanta, infine al lancio di un dialogo musicale proiettato verso il futuro. L’entusiasmo è condiviso dal Maestro Frizza che ha sottolineato la sua soddisfazione nel guidare «le orchestre dei teatri dove ho diretto di più e con le quali ho creato negli anni un legame speciale. Nel 2026 taglio il traguardo di 25 anni di carriera e sono colpito da questa ulteriore coincidenza».Il programma è veramente sontuoso e spazia dalle sinfonie d’apertura da Semiramide (con quest’opera, composta da Rossini per la Fenice, Frizza debuttò al Liceu nel 2005), Don Pasquale, Norma, Die Fledermaus e Vespri Siciliani alla tregenda da Le villi e all’intermezzo di Cavalleria rusticana sino ad alcuni dei momenti solistici del repertorio operistico che meglio rappresentano le voci celebri di Saioa Hernández e Xabier Anduaga. |
