| I’m about to return to the stage of the Bayerische Staatsoper as Madama Butterfly, in three performances reviving the theatre’s historic production by Wolf Busse on 31 January, 3 and 6 February. Cio-Cio-San is a recurring role in my calendar (I most recently sang it last December at the Wiener Staatsoper) but this time it feels particularly special to bring it to Munich, in the opera house that gave me the wonderful opportunity to make my debut as Tosca in spring 2024. I’m very much looking forward to working again with the Orchestra and Chorus of the Bayerische Staatsoper, conducted on this occasion by Eun Sun Kim. |
